Bobby Update
Hi,
I am Bobby. I will start at the beginning for those of you who do not
know about me. My foster mom found me wandering down an
isolated Ga. road late one night on her way home from the store. She
picked me up. Mom was horrified when she realized that I was
bleeding from my mouth and that my skin was burned all over my
face. I also have holes in both eyes and can not see. My vet thinks
that I was burned by chemicals being thrown in my face. It is possible
that I got into them on my own, but it appears that whatever hit me
splattered.
UPDATE>>>> Everyone has been wonderful! My mom and I thank
you all so much for your kind letters, prayers and for helping with my
medical bills. Your kindness is greatly appreciated! I have good and
bad days, but things are definately looking up for me. I now sleep in a
cozy bed with my humans and they have promised that I will never be
on the street again. I have alot of toys, good food and treats. Most of
all, I have many good friends. All of you who have helped me through
these difficult times. The bad news is that my doctor said that my
gums are not healing and my ulcers are not going away. I still have a
hole in my left eye. My gums are going to be sewn up to help my
mouth heal and my eye sewn closed again. The good news is that I
do have limited vision!
Thanks to all of you who have helped me on my journey! After three
surgeries, I am finally on the road to recovery. My eyes are healing.
My vision is getting better and my ulcers are getting better. I still have
a long way to go, but I do believe that the worst is over. I have major
gastrointestinal issues and I still ooze from my mouth and I have
tummy upsets. In spite of this, I now LOVE everyone that I meet. I am
no longer scared of people. I am finally feeling better. I now weigh 7
lbs. To everyone who prayed for me, sent caring letters, and helped
with my vet care, each of you played a role in saving my life. I thank
you! I have maintained a wonderful attitude through this whole
ordeal. I now enjoy life and I know that all people are not cruel. I can
never thank you enough. I am finally going to new home and thank
you to everyone that helped me make it into a new home alive and
well.
Love,
Bobby
